Antique Prince Of Wales Feathers Brooch, handmade in 18ct yellow gold. Three ostrich feathers, each with a curl at the top, crown across the base with five rectangular rubover collets applied and blue enamelled ribbons at the base with the motto "ICH DIEN". Engraved on the rear of the brooch 'M FAIL FROM H.R.H. Prince of Wales'. Has a 9ct yellow gold hinged brooch pin and gold plated safety chain attached. In original fitted box - signed "R&S Garrard & Co". Natural stones rubover set. This brooch is a genuine presentation brooch from HRH Prince of Wales. The Garrard's Haymarket address on the box indicated the brooch was made between 1843 when they became Crown Jewellers and 1911 when they moved to a new address. During most of this time the Prince of Wales was Edward VII.
